Partner, Philip Bonamo, was voted by his board colleagues at the May 10, 2024, meeting in Key West, Florida to be a member of The Florida Bar Board of Governor’s Executive Committee for the 2024-2025 Florida Bar Year. Mr Bonamo is the Board of Governor Representative to The Florida Bar for the 7th Judicial Circuit of Florida, serving the attorneys of Volusia, Flagler, St. John’s and Putnam Counties, and has been since 2020.
The Executive Committee comprises the president, president-elect, chair of the Budget Committee, chair of the Legislation Committee, chair of the Communications Committee, chair of the Disciplinary Review Committee, chair of the Program Evaluation Committee, Young Lawyers Division president, two members of the Board of Governors selected by the president. and three board members selected by the board. The Executive Committee has full power and authority to exercise the function of the board to the extent authorized by the board on any specific matter, and on any other matter which necessarily must be determined between meetings of the board. The Executive Committee notifies the board at the next meeting of all actions taken by the committee during the interim period. Unless modified by the board, actions of the Executive Committee are final.
