Paul E. Rice, Jr., Esquire of the Rice & Rose Law Firm, seated far right,  was chosen to serve on the Family Law Panel for the 2012 Professionalism Symposium for the Seventh Judicial Circuit.  The event was held at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida on May 10, 2102. 
Attorney Paul Rice of the Rice & Rose Law Firm was invited to the Regional Collaborative Meeting of the Family Law Courts for the 7th, 18th and 19th Judical Circuits. Mr. Rice attended the event which was held at the Moore Justice Center in Viera, Florida on March 23, 2012.

Jim Rose and Matthew Shapiro recently traveled to Tallahassee with a delegation of local citizens for the annual Volusia Day visit to the Florida Legislature.  Jim and Matthew attended sessions of both the Florida House and Senate.

The Rice & Rose Law Firm was the primary sponsor of Plan B Cycling's team for the annual MS 150 Cycle to the Shore fundraising ride on the weekend of October 1, 2011. The Rice & Rose/Plan B team had 85 bicyclists who participated in a total field of approximately 2000 riders.
Jim Rose, a United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties Board member, recently challenged the local bar to contribute to the United Way by agreeing to match up to $5000.00 worth of contributions. The local bar responded well to this very worthy cause that helps our fellow citizens who are most in need.
The Volusia County Bar Association's Family Law Section, chaired by Rice & Rose partner, Paul Rice, welcomed newly appointed Circuit Court Judge David B. Beck to the family law division at its meeting on September 20, 2011. Approximately 50 family law lawyers as well as various family law court personnel were in attendance to welcome the new judge.
