The first Rice & Rose Sprint Triathlon was held on June 30, 2013, at Frank Rendon Park in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida. Partner, Paul Rice, pictured here second from right, was on hand for the race and the trophy presentations. Also, pictured from right to left are John Dodd, overall winner, Rice, Haley Rice and Celiena Hart, race volunteers, and Mike Cain, the male masters winner.
This first of the year sprint race consisted of a 1/4 mile swim in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, an 8 mile bike ride on S.R. A1A and a 3 mile beach run. The next race will be on July 14th at the same location and consists of a 1/3 mile swim, 12 mile bike and 3 mile run.
