Partner, Philip Bonamo, attended the Volusia County Bar Association’s Social and Dinner, held August 24, 2022 at the Chart House Restaurant in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Bonamo, who is a Board Certified Criminal Trial Attorney, attended the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers annual conference held in Palm Beach, Florida at The Breakers Resort. The 2-day conference provided speakers from around the country on various topics in criminal law. The meeting was August 11th and August 12th, 2022.

Following the tragic collapse of Champlain Towers South in Surfside, substantial scrutiny will be applied to the condominium association’s board of directors, and perhaps rightfully so. But as an attorney who focuses a large portion of his practice on condominium law (I have the thinning hair to prove it), I would say this catastrophe is merely a symptom of the greater disease – a broken system asking too much from its directors.
